Since day 1, our mission at MagicBrief has been to empower marketing teams to do their best creative work. Thousands of you, from in-house brand teams to agencies, have since used MagicBrief to raise the bar on how performance creative gets made.

We know creative has become the most important lever in modern marketing - but the tools to support it haven’t kept pace. Strategy and creative execution are often disconnected, and teams are left asking the same question: what should we make next, and why?

And now, we’re ready to take that mission even further: We’re excited to announce that MagicBrief is being acquired by Canva.

Canva needs little introduction. It’s one of the most widely used creative platforms in the world, empowering millions of people to turn ideas into content, from performance ads and pitch decks to social videos and AI-generated images.

Since launching in 2013, their mission has been to democratise design - helping individuals, teams, and organisations communicate visually with ease. Now, they’re expanding that mission: helping people create content that’s not just on-brand and engaging, but continuously informed, analysed, and optimised by real-time performance data.

A shared vision for the future of content creation

The cost of building software, producing content, and launching online has dropped dramatically. Today, the real competitive edge isn’t just in who has the best product, but it’s in who tells the most compelling story, and gets the right content in front of the right audience.

The advancements in audience targeting technology has also given new advertisers the same tools as brands with $100m ad budgets, levelling the playing field for anyone who runs ads. The core lever that still moves the needle is in the ad creative itself, and brands that can generate outstanding creative, quickly and consistency, will out-perform everyone else.
